Travelers around the world devote a lot of their time in airport terminals, waiting to catch their flights. Time between flight connections, flight delays, early check-in times, and any other reasons, leave them with compulsive spare time at their hands. However, these travelers are forced to spend hours of their valuable time in terminal lounges, surrounded by strangers who are undergoing the same situation. This waiting game is often very unproductive and rather boring, as there are only limited options to keep you occupied with some mental stimulation. On the other hand, airport terminals provide a secure and luxurious ambiance for socializing and communicating with people. In addition, most terminals are occupied with people from all walks of life. Such as businessmen, corporate professionals, students, musicians, academicians, etc. Yet, the problem is that most of those individuals are disconnected and strangers to one another. Obviously, your spare time can become very interesting and productive if you could simply connect and interact with someone in the terminal who shares your personal and/or business interests. The purpose our app TripMeetApp is to facilitate such connections between strangers in the terminals. Most of the airports nowadays provide free internet access for a certain period of time. Using a smartphone and other handheld devices, TripMeetApp would be accessible through the internet in order to socialize with other travelers of similar interests. Once connected through the app, information can be exchanged and individuals may plan to meet at a mutually agreed location within the airport terminal.
